Walk 2 – Batheaston – Odd Down P&R (this walk was originally scheduled for 23rd April, but has been rearranged)
14.9km/9.3 miles/ some hills.
The complete Circuit of Bath route is 20.5 miles long. We have broken it up into three linear guided walks in March, April and May. You are welcome to join one, two or all of them.
This second leg goes from Batheaston to Odd Down Park & Ride starting with a gentle stroll along the picturesque Kennet & Avon canal down to the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Dundas Aqueduct. We’ll stop for lunch at the Angelfish Cafe, or you can bring a picnic, before following the Midford Brook and then the disused Somersetshire Coal Canal. It finishes with a climb up to rewarding views from the Millennium view point over the Southern Bathscape. From Odd Down the walk leaders will guide you back to the start using public transport to retrieve cars parked there if necessary. You are welcome to leave the group at Odd Down, or in Bath city centre, if you prefer.
Places are limited, and booking is essential – you can sign up here.
Please note, the finishing time is approximate. We’ll be in touch just before the event with more information.
You’ll be guided round by Nicole Daw, Trails and Access Officer, Cotswolds Natural Landscape and Bathscape walk leader Steve Holbrow.
