There are many beautiful Crescents in Bath and this gentle meander, which is not a guided tour, is designed to look at ten of these, along with probably, the most complete Georgian Square in the City. This walk is not just for those who want to look at the Crescents, it is also a stroll around some “off the beaten track” parts of the city.

There will be plenty of time to stop, chat and take in some stunning views over the City of Bath and share, if you wish to, your thoughts on Bath, both past and present. A brief overview of each crescent will be provided and one or two may come as a something of a surprise.

This is not a circular walk, we’ll start at St Swithin’s Church (Main door) at the end of The Paragon / Walcot Street (Near the bottom of Guinea Lane), and we’ll finish at Green Park Station. The precise location will be emailed a few days beforehand as a reminder.

The walk is 4 miles and will be taken at a leisurely pace (around 3 hours) so people have plenty of time to take in the views.  It’s mainly flat and on pavements but there are a couple of steeper hills.  We’ll be close to city centre facilities most of the way round.

Dogs on leads and under control are welcome.

The walk leader is Richard Mann.
