Following the riverside route of one of Bath’s Urban Tree Trails, this walk explores the variety of native and exotic trees which are literally ‘hiding in plain sight’ amongst the magnificent architecture of central Bath.
It is led by Hugh Williamson, Mayor’s Guide and tree enthusiast.
The walk starts at the big tree in Kingsmead Square and meanders around the city centre, some parks and along the cool of the river bank.

The walk is mainly on pavements, is mainly flat, though has a couple of sets of steps. It covers about a mile.
Facilities (shops, cafes, toilets and public transport) are within easy reach along the route. The walk will stop and look at trees, and so is taken at a gentle pace and there are plenty of opportunities to rest. The finish time of the walk is approximate.
This walk is part of the Bath BID’s Summer Sundays programme.
