Join local expert, Roger Perkins, on a countryside walk to see what butterflies we can spot.
Starting from the Roundhill Mount Road, Southdown, we’ll walk out towards Englishcombe village and back – it’s around 2 miles and will take a couple of hours. There’s one steep section (downhill) which may be muddy if there’s been rain.
The walk is suitable for accompanied children (5+), but the route isn’t suitable for buggies. There’s a section along a stream.
Whilst this is a good time of year to be out looking for butterflies, if the weather forecast is for cold/wet weather then we’ll need to cancel it as we won’t see any butterflies.
This walk is part of Festival of Nature.
Booking is essential – which you can do here.
