Join Bathscape for a walk from the city centre to countryside (it’s closer than you think!). This walk starts at Bath’s Backpackers Hostel. From there we’ll walk to the canal and take a steep uphill path into Bathwick Fields, along the bottom edge of the famous National Trust Skyline walk.
From here you can enjoy a classic view across the city, before we drop down through the beautiful Smallcombe Vale. Back on the flat, we’ll walk along the canal to Sydney Gardens before returning to the city centre.
The walk will take about 1.5 hours, or a little longer. It’s 4 km and the start is a 78m climb.
The walk is suitable for families (for children happy to walk this far – and must be accompanied), but not for buggies or other wheels as there are steps along the way. Dogs are welcome too. It’s likely to be very muddy and slippery in places, particularly after rain. Please dress for the weather.
This is a free walk, but please do book so we can contact you for any updates. Book City to View walk here.
Walk leader is Lucy Bartlett and the walk is part of the Rebalance Bath Wellbeing Festival, you can see more events here – rebalance-bath-wellbeing-festival
