A lovely varied family stroll through woods, hedgerows, open fields and a nuttery. The walk will take in Smallcombe Woods and Bathwick Fields, with some spectacular views across Bath.
It will be led by local Forest School Leader Zosia Brett who regularly takes school children to this area. There will be some fun activities and little nature crafts to make along the way plus an opportunity to stop and explore the stream. Being early Autumn, there should also be a chance for a little foraging too.
The walk has some steep and muddy sections which make it unsuitable for buggies, but still great for children.
The meeting point is the pedestrian access to Bathwick Fields, across the road from the Youth Hostel.
