We will walk through the first of the famous Two Tunnels and then along the leafy Lyncombe Vale before going through Lyncombe Hill Fields and Alexandra Park – for arguably the most spectacular view of the city.
We start and finish at the Bear, Wellsway, BA2 4RR. This is a walk over varied terrain with some paths and lanes as well as fields and parkland. Lyncombe Hill Fields are well worth wandering around and we will allow a bit of time here. Also there will be time to rest and take in the views across the city from Alexandra Park.
This is about 3 miles with some steep sections and plenty of steps. It’s suitable for families, but not for pushchairs. This is a dog free walk please.
The walk leaders are Mary and Angela from Bath Ramblers.
There are lots of facilities at the start of the walk and good public transport, you’ll need 20p to use the toilets in Alexandra Park. A torch might be useful in the tunnel.
