A lovely and varied short walk close to the centre of Bath but soon embracing the peace and quiet of the canal, meadows and woodland with beautiful views over the city.
We will leave the hustle and bustle of Bath to explore one of its lovely hidden corners and encourage you to tune into all of your senses. A calming canal side stroll, picturesque cemetery, wildflower meadows with fantastic views over Bath and beautiful broadleaved woodland all included.
Plenty of photo opportunities.
The walk starts and finishes in Brunel Square (between the bus and train station, by the telephone box).
Practicalities – the walk is 2.5 miles, with some uphill steeper sections and some steps. Dogs are welcome (will need to be on leads for some sections). The walk is suitable for accompanied children 10 years and over. The start and finish of the walk are within easy reach of city centre facilities.
By arrangement, we may be able to provide guides for people with visual impairments – get in touch to discuss.
The walk leader is Peter Bird.
