This walk will look at the wide variety of open-grown trees in Alice Park.
There are some fine evergreens to admire, and winter is the best time to look at buds, bark, and branch-structure of their deciduous cousins.
We’ll also learn the history of the suffragette black pine and the Park’s unique link with Japan.
The walk will be led by Hugh Williamson of the Bath Urban Treescape team. The walk is level, on a mixture of paths and grass.
This is part of the ReBalance Bath Festival. Book your free tickets here – Alice Park Winter Trees
The meeting point is inside the main entrance to the park, Gloucester Road, Bath, BA1 7BL (What3Words – woods.pizza.onion)
