The only museum of Americana outside the United States, it takes you on a journey through the history of America, from its early settlers to the 20th century.
It’s not just worth a visit for the museum, the extensive grounds include Italianate style pleasure gardens and parkland. From here you can enjoy the views across the Limpley Stoke Valley.
When it’s open (please check website before travelling), it can be a special visit, or a detour from the National Trust’s Bath Skyline Walk.
