This national trail is 100 glorious miles of walking, following the Cotswolds Escarpment from Chipping Camden in the north to outside Bath Abbey in the south.

You can hike along the trail in sections or use it as the starting point for local circular walks.  Cotswold voluntary wardens run regular guided walks in the area, and also keep the trail in good order.

At the southern end of the trail, where it meets the Bathscape area, there are plenty of sites to see along the way. The Roman camps and Little Down Fort near North Stoke village, Prospect Stile, Kelston Roundhill and the Royal Crescent are all on the route to the city centre.
