The steep Pleasure Grounds was first opened in 1889, you can read all about its fascinating history here written by the Friends of Hedgemead Park. They have also produced this wonderful tree trail.
A short walk from the shops at Walcot Street and Milsom Street, the park today has children’s play equipment, beautiful views and well kept flower beds.
You can also visit Vegmead and lend a hand at the community edible garden.
